Pustevny & Radhošť — a Beskydy ridge walk from the apartment

Pustevny and Radhošť are among the most beautiful sights the Beskydy Mountains offer — and from the Brew & Relax apartment in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm they are only a short trip away. A morning on the ridge, an evening in the hot tub on the terrace. Here is how to make the most of it.

Pustevny & Radhošť

Pustevny — an Art Nouveau gem on the ridge

The Pustevny mountain saddle is famous for the wooden buildings Libušín and Maměnka by architect Dušan Jurkovič — a fairy-tale blend of Art Nouveau and Wallachian folk style. Even a simple stroll between them, with views across the region, is worth it. You will also find refreshments here and the starting point for most ridge trails.

The ridge walk to the Radegast statue and Radhošť

From Pustevny a comfortable, wide path runs along the ridge all the way to the summit of Radhošť (1,129 m). Along the way you pass the monumental statue of the pagan god Radegast and the chapel of Saints Cyril and Methodius — two of the most photographed spots in the Beskydy. The route is easy and manageable even for families with children.

Tips for families and for winter

Children will love the wooden Stezka Valaška trail and the rope park right by Pustevny, and you can ride up on the historic chairlift from Trojanovice. In winter the saddle turns into a cross-country and downhill skiing paradise, so the trip makes sense all year round.

The apartment as your base for day trips

Pustevny is under half an hour by car from Rožnov, so you can fit it into half a day. And after returning from the ridge, nothing beats the warm hot tub on the apartment’s private terrace. Plan your stay and book your dates on Booking.com.
